How It Works

Solar photo voltaic modules (PV) use daylight/irradience to generate electricity. The PV cell consists of one or two layers of a semi conducting material, usually silicon. When light shines on the cell it creates an electric field across the layers, causing electricity to flow. The greater the intensity of the light, the greater the flow of electricity.

Is my Property Suitable?

You can install Solar PV systems on any building with a roof or wall that faces within 90 degrees of due south (basically south facing hemisphere), as long as no other buildings or large trees overshadow it. If the roof surface is in shadow for parts of the day, the output of the system decreases.

Grid connected systems require very little maintenance, generally limited to ensuring that the panels are kept relatively clean and that shade from trees has not become a problem.

We almost exclusively utilse Solar Edge PV equipment not because of any official link or manufacturer's incentive scheme. We use it because its build quality, performance and in-built monitoring is second to none. Our clients expect value for money and this equipment provides that solution.

Solar Edge have a great website with succinct movie clips which show how and why their equipment is amongst the very best in the world. www.solaredge.com.
